Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with what you buy. This page explains how and when refunds work - read it before you buy so there are no surprises afterwards.

Short version

  • Digital products (plugins, sample packs): non-refundable once you have downloaded or activated the product. You explicitly waive the EU right of withdrawal at checkout by clicking “I want immediate access”.
  • Physical products (vinyl, minidisc, tape, merch): standard 14-day return window from the day you receive the item, provided it's unused and in its original packaging.
  • Bundles: treated as the union of their parts. If any digital component has been downloaded, the digital portion is non-refundable; physical portion follows the 14-day rule.
  • Faulty / not-as-described:your statutory consumer rights are unaffected - we'll fix or refund whatever the law requires, regardless of the above.

Digital products - full version

Under EU consumer law (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights), the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content if:

  1. performance has begun (i.e. you have downloaded the file or activated the license), AND
  2. you have given your express prior consent to performance beginning during the withdrawal period, AND
  3. you have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

At checkout, you tick a box confirming exactly that. Once you do - and start downloading - we cannot refund the purchase. This isn't us being mean: it's how digital goods sold under EU law work, because the file is impossible to “return”.

Before you download:if you change your mind AFTER purchase but BEFORE downloading or activating, email us within 14 days and we'll refund - that's the right-of-withdrawal window still being open.

What counts as “activated”

The plugin has been authorized to run on at least one machine. We keep an internal record of when that happens; in disputes we go by that record.

Exceptions where we'll refund a digital product anyway

  • Product doesn't work on your systemAND we can't resolve it within a reasonable support window. System requirements are listed on each product page; check before buying.
  • You literally bought the same product twice by accident (checkout glitch, double-click, etc.). Email us and we'll refund the duplicate. Note: buying a bundle that happens to include something you already own is NOT this case - the “complete the set” flow at /collection automatically discounts the bundle by the value of what you already own. If you skip that flow and buy the full bundle anyway, you don't get a refund - you just got more product for your money.
  • The product is materially different from what was described. Per Swedish konsumentköplag and EU sale of goods directive, you have a right to a remedy.
  • Fraudulent purchase(someone else used your card). Report it to your bank AND email us; we'll handle the chargeback and ban the activated machine.

Physical products - full version

For physical media (vinyl, minidisc, tape, merch) you have 14 calendar days from receipt to notify us of an intention to return, and a further 14 days to ship the goods back.

Conditions for a full refund:

  • Goods unused and in their original, unopened packaging.
  • You cover the cost of return shipping.
  • Hygienically-sealed items (e.g. earbuds, if we ever sell them) can't be returned once the seal is broken.

If the item arrived damaged or doesn't match the description: photograph it, email us within 7 days, and we'll send a replacement at our cost or refund.

How long refunds take

Once approved, refunds are issued through Paddle to your original payment method. Funds typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer; some non-EU cards take longer. Paddle's refund timing details: paddle.com/help/buyers/refunds.

License consequences of a refund

If your purchase is refunded:

  • The associated license is immediately revoked;
  • The plugin will stop working on its next routine check;
  • The serial cannot be used again, even on a new install.

Continuing to use the product after a refund is granted is a license violation and we may take further action.

Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback without first contacting us is a friction we'd rather avoid - email us and we'll almost always sort it amicably. We dispute fraudulent chargebacks with our internal records; a customer who downloaded the product, used it for weeks, then files a chargeback will lose the dispute.

How to request a refund

Email hello@blezzbeats.com from the address on your account, OR open a support ticket at /help/contact. Include the order id (from your Paddle receipt) and a brief reason. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
